Qualification and Experience

With more than 30 years of experience in the field of neurosurgery, Dr. Rajakumar is currently the Director, Neuro & Spine Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore. In the year 1991, he completed his MBBS from J.S.S Medical College, Mysore. After completing MS in General Surgery, he completed his M.Ch. in neurosurgery from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in the year 1989. Dr. Rajakumar was also awarded fellowship Training in Skull Base Surgery from Wayne State University, the USA in the year 1986.

Dr. Rajakumar is an experienced neurosurgeon and expert in performing various neurosurgical procedures such as Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Fusion Surgery, Brain tumor Surgery, Spine Surgery, Lokomat, and Laminectomy. Cadaver laboratory was set up at Harper Hospital because of the tireless efforts of Dr. Rajakumar.
